First Walk with the Hasselblad X2D II 100C + 28P in Christiansted

A few frames from my first real outing with the Hasselblad X2D II 100C paired with the Hasselblad XCD 28P.

These were captured while walking through Christiansted — mostly along King Street, Company Street, and near the Boardwalk. Nothing staged. Just a quiet afternoon getting familiar with the camera, the lens, and the way this system sees light and color.

What immediately stood out to me wasn’t just the detail, but the rendering. The files have a calmness to them that’s difficult to describe until you work with them yourself. The 28P also feels like an ideal match for the kind of photography I naturally gravitate toward: architecture, streets, landscapes, and environmental scenes while traveling.

This was less about testing sharpness charts and more about learning the rhythm of the camera in the real world.
